How to Treat Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is waste that included in the list of dangerous waste that release by environment government. This list is classified by the dangerous scale of the waste that analyze use by ABC result. The dangerous scale is classified from 5 scale to 0 relevant.

To calculate this dangerous scale of waste are based on several parameter that may available related to the certain waste that available on your plant. There are 5 parameter that should notice on this classification such as follows:

  1. Closeness to Emission Value: Samples are representing the daily average and by Statistic evaluation. Then on this calculation will determine the value scale from 5 to 0.
  2. Overstepping Frequency: Overstepping evaluation is calculate by frequency O%. O = overstepping frequency/year/365 * 100%.
  3. Closeness to Immission Value: Spot samples by external laboratory. Using statistic evaluation, average from spot sample value + 2 * STD (%)
  4. Ecological Relevance: High danger give value = 5, Problematic = 3, Not relevant = 0
  5. Public sensibility: High complain = 5, Medium complain = 3, no complain = 0
  6. Future Law Development: Drastic tightening of regulations with direct effect on plant operation = 5, Tightening of regulation without immediate effect on plant operation = 3, No foreseeable tightening of regulation = 0.
  7. Expert opinion. Categorization into ABC as per expert opinion based on criteria outside. If an expert opinion is used an explanation must be documented.
After calculate of every waste, then you can categorize of every waste that available on your plant, it will include of category A (high relevant), category B (relevant) or category C (lowly relevant).
